Education and Honors

Jeff Van Harte graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a bachelor's degree in finance and received an honorary doctor of humane letters from the institution in 2022 for his wide-reaching support of its programming, which includes a $1.5 million initial investment to launch the Titan Capital Management (TCM) training lab for finance students. A proponent of higher education, he credits much of his success in the financial services industry to his education at CSUF and is happy to support the next generation of investors.

Titan Capital Management Training Lab

The TCM training lab, which opened in 2016 at CSUF's Steven G. Mihaylo College of Business and Economics, complements academic theory with experiential learning, providing students with a dedicated space to manage complex investment portfolios in real time. These portfolios, either stocks or bonds, are funded by CSUF alumni and the CSUF Philanthropic Foundation, of which Mr. Van Harte is a member of the board of governors. The program has been a major success, with TCM teams winning multiple stock pitching competitions, including the America's Championship at the 2023 CFA Institute Research Challenge.
